He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Thiede and Catherine Thiede; and his brother-in-law Richard Flynn. He is survived by: his nephews, Steve and Nick; his children, Theresa Thiede, Marcia Thiede, Peter Thiede Jr. (Jadel), Sheila Lacina (Daniel) and Matthew Thiede (Betsy); his grandchildren, Julie, Jacob Spencer, John, Thomas Stickel, Peter Thiede III, Matthew, Tyler Lacina, Joshua and Amanda Thiede; his great grandchildren, Andrea, Kaitlyn, Mason, Addison, Logan and Eli; and his siblings, Barbara Pappas (Les), Janet Flynn, Thomas Thiede (Barbara) and Jane Hunt (Don). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul Catholic Church and Shiawassee Conservation Association maintenance fund.
