He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Patterson and Neva Patterson (Hoag); his wife Patricia Ann Hemgesberg; and his siblings, James Patterson and Betty VanAmburg.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Butcher (Dan) and Lisa Eveleth (Pete); his sister Marlene Edgar (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Laverne Hemgesberg (Jeanette), Mike Hemgesberg (Jane), Bill Hemgesberg (Ruth), Dan Hemgesberg, Jim Hemgesberg (Paula), Sally Gross, Arlene Hemgesberg and Phyl Patterson. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Legion Owosso Post 57.
