He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard B. Willis and Wilma Margaret Willis (Jones). He is survived by: his wife Joan Faye Tervonen; his children, Richard Willis (Janelle), Randall Willis (Michelle) and Kristine Carothers (Kent); and his grandchildren, Whitney Wilson (Brett), Brianna Coffey (Jon), Ryan (Eric Willis) and Alexandria Willis (Will Carothers).

Memorial contributions are suggested to Owosso First Church of Christ.
