He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Purves and Heloise A. Purves (Washburn); his brother Jim Purves; and his stepsister Betty Case. He is survived by: his former wife Patricia A. Stanton; his wife Pat; his daughters, Maurine Homola of Owosso, Lori Stechschulte (David Jr.) of Owosso, Lois Gruesbeck (Lynn) of Laingsburg and Patty Peck (Lloyd) of St. Johns; his grandchildren, Brandon Homola (Nikki), Jaeson Homola (Christie), Sarah Moore (Tom), Amanda Atkinson (Josh), Meagan Merlo (Joe), Lindsey Bell (Kevin), Katie Roseberry (Joel), Tricia Moreno (Ben) and Tim Mead (Holly); and his stepbrother Burt Case (Sandy) of Ovid. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
