He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin William "Bill" Gillett and Eleanor; his son Jon Michael; and his brother Melvin Gillett. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ann Long; his children, Robert Gillett (Jane) of Grand Rapids, MI, Jeffrey Gillett (Kathy) of Dunwoody, GA, Susan Gillett of Ann Arbor, MI and Kenneth Gillett (Jennifer) of Owosso, MI.; his grandchildren, Courtney, Rob, Will, Jack, Drew, Kate, Hunter and Abby; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Cayla, Carson, Maeve and Rowan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul of Owosso or to St. Paul Catholic Church.
