He was predeceased by: his parents, Ufford Smith and Jennie Smith (Barrett); his son Richard Smith; and his brother Ernest Smith. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Smith (Kobe); his children, Tonda Smith-Koshar (Louis) and Michael Smith; his grandchildren, Steven Barrett (Monica), Brianna Chopp (Jordan), Jenna Kahila (Alex) and Selina Hernandez (Ruben); his great grandchildren, Kylee, Jayda, Alexa, Hudson and Royce; and his pet Sami.
