Mildred Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Smith of Pewamo, Michigan, who passed away on February 21, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Julius Constantine and Anna Eleanora Thelen (Spitzley); her husband Philip "Carl"; her daughter Julie Lounds; and her siblings, Juliana Thelen, Germaine Rehmann, Laurene Thelen, Justin Thelen, Alan Thelen and Mark Thelen.

She is survived by : her children, Dave Smith (Germaine) of Pewamo, Rosemary Koenigsknecht (Luke) of St. Johns, Alan Smith (Sharon) of St. Johns, Kathy Schafer (Randy) of Okemos, Therese Miller (Dean) of Westphalia, Rick Smith (Maureen) of Wilmette, IL, Sharon Mann (John) of Glenview, IL, Nancy Lawrence (Dave) of Sheffield Village, OH, Marilyn Heinle (David) of Elmhurst, IL, Paul Smith (Beth) of Westphalia and Brian Smith (Stephany) of Mt. Pleasant; her son-in-law Greg Lounds (Sheri) of St. Johns; her sister Aileen Thelen of Fowler; and her sister-in-law Eldine Thelen of Lansing. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren.
