He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stempek Sr. and Alice Morse (Compeau); his wife Patricia Bennett; his brothers, Donald Stempek and Robert Morse; his siblings-in-law, Janice Stempek and Lloyd Selle; and his stepfather Gerald Morse.
He is survived by: his children, Rosemarie Walker (Ken), James Stempek (Gracie), Michael Stempek Sr. and Joseph Stempek (Leisa); his grandchildren, Amanda Simpson, Nicki Wilson, Natasha Sampson, Cortney Stempek, Michael Stempek Jr., Ryan Stempek, Trenten Stempek, Katelynn Stempek, Alexander Walker and Andrew Walker; his siblings, Alice Kay Selle, Sheri Erlenbeck (Fred), Cathy Matijega (Louie), Karen Erickson (Larry), James Stempek and Calvin Morse (Marcella); and his sisters-in-law, Marjorie Stempek and Denise Morse. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
