He was predeceased by: his father Clarence E. Laur; and his father-in-law Joseph B. Whyte. He is survived by: his mother Terrie A. Laur (Sattler); his wife Ellen Whyte; his children, Adam Laur (Jessica), Scott Laur (Elizabeth) and Amy Riesterer (John); his grandchildren, Gabe Newkirk, Logan Laur, Kendall Laur, Landon Laur, Greyson Laur, Emerson Laur, Isaac Riesterer, Nathaniel Riesterer and Elijah Riesterer; his mother-in-law Carmelita Whyte; his sister Sally Sutkowi (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Michael Whyte (Connie), James Whyte (Terri), Carol Whyte, Barbara Sanak (Steve) and Annie Whyte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked those considering an expression of sympathy to consider the Resurrection of the Lord Food Pantry.
