He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Orwell and Catherine Ball (Smith); his wife Fern Lois Bailey; and his brothers, Arthur Ball and Lyle Ball.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Jean Lutren of Novi; his daughters, Kathy Madden and Sharron Hawkins (Keith); and his grandchildren, Kristi Brink (John) of Missouri, Robert "Casey" Madden of Missouri, Andy Madden (Amy) of Missouri, Carolee Carter of Michigan, Matthew Wallace (Mariah) of Michigan, Heith Hawkins (Maria) of Michigan, Dawn Arbuckle (Gordon) of Michigan and Aarone Hawkins (Jody) of Michigan. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
