Vivian M. Cloutier, aged 82, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at Huron Woods Nursing Center. Born on July 21, 1942, in Pinconning, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Peter and Mae (Doan) Eilf. Vivian's life was a testament to her selfless nature, friendly demeanor, and thoughtful spirit.
Vivian found her soulmate in Gerald Cloutier, and their love story began on April 20, 1960, at St. Agnes Church in Pinconning. Their marriage blossomed over 65 years, during which they built a loving family together. Vivian was a devoted mother to Holli Kaczmarek and Eric (Nicole) Cloutier, and she took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Kelsey (fiancé Chance Lacey) Cloutier, Kennedy Cloutier, and great-granddaughter Paislee Lacey. Her love and guidance were the foundation upon which her family thrived.
Vivian's siblings, Pauline (Bill) Snider, Greg (Bernadette) Eilf, Donna Jeske, Duane (Pamela) Eilf, and Tim (Kathy) Eilf, will remember her as a pillar of strength and compassion. She was a beloved aunt to several nieces, nephews, and cousins and held a special place in the hearts of her brothers and sisters-in-laws. The family will deeply miss her presence, as will all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Vivian embraced the role of a proud homemaker; she was the heartbeat of her household, always there to support and nurture her loved ones. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, having been a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church until its closing, after which she attended Midland Baptist Church. Vivian's commitment to her faith was paralleled by her dedication to charitable causes, particularly her support for St. Jude's.
Vivian's interests, reflected her love for her family and home. She found pleasure in gardening alongside her husband, preserving the fruits of their labor through canning, and delighting everyone with her baking skills. Above all, Vivian was her grandchildren's biggest fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on, whether at ball games or BMX racing. Her presence was a constant source of encouragement and love.
Vivian's life was one of giving and caring; she was the embodiment of selflessness. Her friendly smile and thoughtful gestures will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. Vivian's legacy is one of unwavering love and dedication to her family, a beacon of light that will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11 am from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor James Payne presiding with burial in Pinconning Township Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2 to 8 pm. On Wednesday, friends may visit from 10 am until time of service.
