With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita (Oconnell) Smith of Pleasant Lake, Michigan, who passed away on November 22, 2021 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita (Oconnell) Smith to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Anne and Louis; her siblings, Chuck, George, Mary Jane and Dick; and her children, Kevin, Sharyn and Patti.

She is survived by : her daughters, Carol, Kathy (Dick) and Donna. She is also survived by son-in-law Al, numerous nephews and nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of attending, donations can be made in her honor to Michigan Mothers Against Drunk Driving or flowers may be sent to Sts. Cornelius and Cyprian Church.
