It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Calandra Letisha Green (Pontiac, Michigan), who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Robert Hammond and Gennie Hammond; her daughter Casey Lee Anderson; and her siblings, Charlotte Marshall, Sikande Stewart and Rodriguez Hammond. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
As the pandemic began in March 2020, she became the Oakland County Health Division's quality and process improvement supervisor. Her duties included serving as the COVID-19 school nurse liaison where she hired, trained and deployed 68 nurses to 28 public school districts and 125 private or charter schools.
