He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Lowell and Estella Lowell (Morse); his brother Randall Lowell; his niece Lisa Ann Lowell; and his brother-in-law Roger Zimmer.

He is survived by : his children, Carla Sarver (Paul) of Mt. Morris, Angela Pavlik (Michael) of Prudenville, Christina Bunge (Derrick) of Brighton, Jeniffer Marti (Guillermo) and Arthur James Lowell II of Houghton Lake; his siblings, Jeanine Zimmer of Beecher, Allan Lowell (Linda) of Mt. Morris and Donald Lowell (Kathy Taunton) of Clio; his sister-in-law Amy Lowell; and his close friend Beverly Prescott of Brighton. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
