She was predeceased by : her parents, John Conkel and Mary Conkel (Hallberg); and her siblings, Doris Holmes and Gene Conkel. She is survived by : her husband William "Bill" Buckner; her sons, Larry Buckner (Nancy) and Lawrence Buckner (Judy); her granddaughter Susie Vitunskas (Mark); and her sister Mary Ellen Hall. She is also survived by her three great grandsons.
