He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Townsend and Mary Alice Townsend (Proctor); and his sister Fran Cowley. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Elaine Erbe; his children, Sue, George Millbrand, Pamela, Vance Green, Brenda, Roy Schweiger, Brent, Karen Townsend, Jay and Colleen Townsend; and his sister Ann Walker of Almont. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
