He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Melissa; his wife Carol Smith-Schroeder; his children, Heather Bauer (Grigg), Holly Kretlow (Corey), Leeann Arvidson (Lenny), Connie Schwering (Curtis), Beth Ashman and Bill Ashman (Melissa); his grandchildren, Mason, Aiden, Tony, Gage, Michael, Brandon, Gavin, Cade, Tera, Draven, Dayton, Kallie and Adam; and his siblings, Donna Shepard, JoAnn Gasser (Roland), Patricia Shepard, Cathrine Rettler, Diane Bunnell (David), William Schroeder (Cindy) and Dennis Schroeder (Pat).
