She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Wright and Mary Lou Wright; and her daughter Juliet DiSessa of Madison Heights, Michigan.. She is survived by : her children, William DiSessa (Jane) of Holly, Ronald DiSessa of Rochester Hills and Angela DiSessa (Mike Osborne) of Rochester Hills, Michigan.; her grandchildren, William DiSessa of Royal Oak and Grace DiSessa of Rochester Hills; her former life partner Vincent DiSessa of Troy, Michigan.; and her siblings, Kenneth Max Wright (Pat) of Surprise and Sharen Smith (Dean) of Burton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joan Elaine Hodges wrote a sympathy message

“She was a gracious Southern Lady with a soft, Southern accent. Anyone that took this as a weakness, did so at their peril. Our sons, Ron and Jim, were in a preschool for severely Autistic children. We fought every day for the programs and services that are now routinely provided to Autistic children. She was a devoted Mother to all of her children and grandchildren, and would celebrate their successes, and comfort them in their setbacks. I will miss Marylou. Joan (Risher) Hodges”
