It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delores J. Wainright of Rockford, Michigan, born in Newaygo, Michigan, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Leon Brace and Violet Brace (Holmes); her children-in-law, Steven Horovitz and Beverly Wainright; and her grandsons, Brentton Wainright and Donovan Modlin.

She is survived by : her husband Melvin; her children, Marcia Morgan, Ronald Wainright, Susan Horovitz, Nancy Modlin, Bonnie Bouman and Larry Wainright (Beth); and her grandchildren, Amie Anderson, Malinda Lindenmuth (Burton), Brian Horovitz (Nancy), Jessica Ford (Danny), Trevor Bouman (Laurel), Bretton Wainright (Allison), Jaymes Wainright (Breanne) and Justin Wainright (Seneca). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the K. E. Pike Funeral Home (13603 Northland Dr NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice or the Church of the Full Gospel, Sand Lake.
