He was predeceased by : his spouse Leannah Elizabeth Harris; his siblings, Richard Schmidt and Esther Ziegler; and his son Paul. He is survived by : his children, Elizabeth Schwannecke (Kurt) of Saginaw, MI, Jesse Schmidt and Carol Scheffler (Kelly) of Bay City, MI; and his grandchildren, Joshua Schwannecke (Megan), Jason Schwannecke (Erika), Kristin Brockway (Brock), Devin Scheffler (Karley), McKenzie Scheffler (Nathan) and Alexander Scheffler (Kenna). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
