It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oliver Daniel Thompson Jr. (Saginaw, Michigan), born in Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on August 10, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Oliver Daniel Thompson Sr. and Katie Ruth Freeman Thompson; his sister Mary Thompson Roberts; his parents-in-law, Juanita and Richard Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn L. Smith, Catherine L. Peoples (LC) and Lawrence Smith.

He is survived by : his significant other Gloria Dean Kendrick; his children, Deidra Lynn, Anthony Duane, Darryl Vaughn, Angela Marie and Jeffrey Duran; his godchildren, Lisa Suttles (Fred), Rodney Harris, Marla Lowery and Joseph Lowery Jr.; his brother Kelvin Thompson (Ella) of Newnan, GA; his siblings-in-law, Earlene Barnes of Saginaw, MI, Richard Smith (Sharon) of Saginaw and Ray Carl Smith of Saginaw; his grandchildren, Maeria Danielle, Antoinette (Ernest), Anthony Matthew (Porchia), Olivia, Corey, Charne', Julianna, Alexis, Andrea, Brittany, Denetria (Kevin) and Courtney; and his close friends, Joseph Lowery (Leah), Odail Thorns, Calvin Williams (Delores), Katherine Atwater, Nolan Smithers (Earlene) and Jimmie O. Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
