Russell Shirkey Cook Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Shirkey Cook (Saginaw, Michigan), who passed away on November 12, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Audley Cook and Gladys Cook (Shirkey); his wife Dorothy May Cook; and his son Robert W. Coenis. He is survived by: his daughters, Jan Hauck (Larry) and Debbie Custack; his daughter-in-law Julie Coenis; his grandchildren, Nancy Shea (Steve), John Coenis (Sharon), Kevin Custack (Jessica), Stacy Hauck (Ryan), Emily Jankowski (Eddy) and Andrew Hauck (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Nick of Alex, TJ, Adam, Abbey, Kaylee, Annie, Zach, Addy, Paul, Zoe and Emma; and his great great grandchild Madilyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Deisler Funeral Home (2233 Hemmeter Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
