He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nicolai and Margaret Nicolai; his siblings, Nancy Lisee and Roger Nicolai; his foster brothers, Joe Novelli and Victor Gatautas; his parents-in-law, Jack and Loretta Meldrum; and his sister-in-law Sharon Socia.
He is survived by: his wife Barb Nicolai; his children, Gordie Jr. Nicolai (Amanda) and Tonya Butler (Mike); his grandchildren, Kenzie, Averie and Collin; his siblings, Bob Nicolai (Vi), Mary Paquette (Ralph) and Janet Rylander (Dennis); his aunt Milllie Meldrum; and his parents-in-law, Joe Lisee, Debbie Nicolai, Jerry, Marie Meldrum, Nancy, Terry Millard, Bev, Dave Corwin and Paul Socia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
