She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Ackels and Connie Ackels (Smith); her aunt Sue; and her uncle Max (Richard). She is survived by: her husband Bob; her daughters, Kristi Fisher (Chad), Becca Baumgras, Rachel Baumgras and Aimee Burch (Kenny); her sister Melanie Lyon; her granddaughters, Haven, Kiera and Avah; and her nephews, Ben Cox (Jaime) and Randy Lyon (Erin).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calendar Smith Family Funeral Homes (104 E Cass St, St Johns, MI 48879).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
