He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Otis and Zelma Irene Hedgepeth (McCartney); his sisters, Virginia Faye Woodward and Frances Ann Griffin; his parents-in-law, David and Mary Lawley; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Lawley, Dan Lawley, Bartlett, Elvin "Lefty" Scott, Bonds, Woodward and Milford Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Lawley; his children, George of Flint and Mary Eldredge (Paul) of Tecumseh, Michigan; his grandchildren, James and Caroline Eldredge; his sisters, Barbara Stamey (Ernest) of Ringgold and Gail Bartlett of Sardis City, Ala; and his close friends, Bob Batey, Jack Frye and Kenneth Teske. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews.
