He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Andrew and Rose Mabel MacFalda (Szczerowski); his sister Anne Smith; his brothers-in-law, Daryel Smith and Ernest Roeske; his nephew Duane Smith; and his parents-in-law, John and Peggy Malone.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Louise Malone; his children, Anne Mleczek (Ken) of Rochester Hills, Elaine Sines of Tecumseh and Paul MacFalda (Vanessa) of San Marcos, CA; his grandchildren, Christopher, Maria (Teresa Sines), Julia (Andrew Mleczek), Matthew and Samantha (Alexandra MacFalda); and his siblings, Doris "Meme" Roeske, John MacFalda (Pam) and Joan Karsten (Owen). He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gerald's name may be made to St. Andrew Catholic Church, Saline American Legion Post #322, or St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
