He was predeceased by: his parents, William Boyd and Georgia Hazelwood Fowlkes; his siblings, Wallace and Patsy Bowen (Clarence); and his wife Betty Lancaster of Sheridan.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Fowlkes (Donna) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Bruce Fowlkes (Carolyn) of Eureka, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Nicole Ballreich (Clayton) of Pinckney, Michigan, Sarah Sullivant (Michael) of Alameda, California, Robert and John Fowlkes of Eureka. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of very special in-laws.
