He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Rich and Caroline Rich (Graves); his wife Marilynn Rayl; and his brothers, Floyd, Herb, Vernon, Eugene, Delbert and Elvy.

He is survived by : his sons, Paul Rich (Rochelle) and Dwight Rich (Barb); his grandchildren, Sean Jones (Amber), Stefanie Torp (Chris), Celest Rich, Jerika Darrell (Andrew) and Joshua Gomez; and his siblings, Ed Rich, Donna Adair, Viva, Velma, Winnie, Nina, Lena and Ruby.

Memorials in memory of Duane may be made to McGregor United Methodist Church.
