Amber Christine Vassar Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amber Christine Vassar of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her mother Shelly Ann Payment (Mastaw); her grandparents, William Joseph, Mary Delores Mastaw and Shaunna Dotson; and her aunts, Linda Savoie and Cheryl Mastaw.

She is survived by : her father Gerald Arthur Dotson; her boyfriend Matt Vassar; her grandfather Gerald Dotson Sr.; her great-aunt Mary Hill; and her aunts and uncles, Harvey Bell (Lisa Dietz), Wayne King (Annette), William I. Mastaw, Dennis Dotson, Chris Dotson (Kimberely), Ken Savoie, Diane Boutilier (Foster), Ronda Mastaw and Maureen Weller. She is also survived by niece and nephew.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Niigaanaagiizhik Ceremonial Building (11 Ice Circle Chi Mukwa, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
