We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2024, at the age of 84, Winifred Joy Wertz of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, born in Naubinway, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William and Ellaree; and her brothers, Donald Wachter (Lois), Robert "Cy" Wachter (Genevieve) and Gary Wachter.

She is survived by : her husband Robert C. Wertz (Bob); her daughters, Carol Murphy, Melanie Homer (Bret), Roberta Tschirhart, Rebekah Wauck (Steve), Jennifer Wilson (David) and Bethany Miller; her grandchildren, Analise Frazier (Cody), Mackensie Murphy (Vicki), Austin Tschirhart, Katey Homer, Drew Homer, Genesis Wilson, David Wilson, Grace Wilson, Peityn Miller and Gabriel Wauck; and her great grandchildren, Bellamy, Sullivan Frazier and Anson Murphy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“Robert. I'm sorry for your lost. Your wife was always smiling and happy to be with you. I liked her since of humor when she was up in Dialisis . She was a very happy go lucky and was always had a good word .. I will miss giving her and you a hard time. Kathe y and I wish we could be there. But we will in Traverse city with her heart doctor..
