He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mertke; his daughters, Kelly Geist and Crystal Peters; his grandchildren, Morgan Geist, Thomas Peters and Hannah Peters; his close friend Bud Lauderbach; and his pet Dixie. He is also survived by many extended family, close friends.
