He was predeceased by : his parents, David Jioie and Geneva Jioie (Jones); and his sister Donna Scott. He is survived by : his pet Zoe; his sons, Andrew Mireles of Texas, Tyler Mireles of Colorado and Matthew Cody of Ohio; his close friend Diane Marsman of South Haven; his sisters, Janel Jioie of Illinois and Linda Wilson (John) of Ohio; his nieces, Kari Rodriguez (Jaime) of Michigan and Donna Saucedo of Lacota, Michigan; his nephew Shawn Scott of Alabama; and his great-nephew Eliahs. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
