He was predeceased by : his brother Charles Carnagie. He is survived by : his spouse Karol Sprague; his daughters, Sarah Weigand (David), Cathleen Cuthbertson (Dan) and Elyse Carnagie (Jake Nelson); his grandchildren, Tait, Ruby, Mary, Noelle, David, Annie, Grace and Zipporah; his siblings, Diane Myers, Ralph Carnagie (Denise) and Michael Carnagie (Ann Roveda); and his sister-in-law Rosemary Carnagie.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be given to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church or to the American Red Cross where he frequently donated blood.
