He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Barnett and Lessie Barnett; and his siblings, Albert Barnett Jr., Jonathan Barnett Sr. and Sharon Basley.
He is survived by : his child La'Shawnda Simpson (Cedric); his siblings, Charlie Barnett (Barbara), Katherine Miller and Antionette Peete (Walter); his grandchildren, Tanieya Simpson, Mariah Simpson, Cedric Simpson III, Ciara Simpson, Adriana Ford and Lajik Ford; and his great grandchild Ta'Kiah Jordan.
