He was predeceased by : his sister Peggy. He is survived by : his children, William Ainsworth and Heather Ainsworth; his grandchildren, Julie, William, Christopher and Cherry; his great grandchildren, Carson, Ryker, Aliya, Nova, Liam, Lyla and Abby; and his brothers, Greg Ainsworth and James Ainsworth. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
