Mary Anne Spangenberg Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2025, Mary Anne Spangenberg (Kent City, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Robert Marks and Clifford Spangenberg; her brother Franklin; her sister-in-law Evelyn Wegal; and her sibling's child Kim Marks.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Stewart of Grand Rapids and Scott Marks of Vulcan, Michigan; her daughter-in-law Teresa Marks of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Bret Stewart (Michelle) and Kiri Bereznai (Laura) of Berlin, Germany; her niece Julie Johnson (David, family: Brittany Hanna, McKenzie, Madison); her stepchildren, Philip Spangenberg, Carol Knakal (James) and Barbara Spangenberg; and also Anne Stewart of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church (4085 Lutheran Church Rd NW, Kent City, MI 49330). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to the Mamrelund Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
