She was predeceased by : her parents, Reginald Carr and Beverly Carr (Hay). She is survived by : her husband Larry J. Colby; her children, Christopher James Colby (Megan), Brian John Colby and Megan Nicole Andrus (Lucas); her grandchildren, Nicholas James Colby and Bennet James Andrus; her brothers, Randall Carr (Kathy) and Michael Carr (Kim); and her aunt Vicky Bisset (John). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pederson Funeral Home (127 N Monroe St, Rockford, MI 49341). A vigil service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 4:30 PM at the Blythefield Memory Gardens (6200 Brewer Ave NE, Belmont, MI 49306).
