He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Shawn (Stephanie) and Matt (Anne); his grandchildren, Elliot, Olivia, Hunter, Archer and Fischer; his siblings, Jan Oakes and Dennis Bergsma; his brother-in-law Jack Scholten; his niece Mari George (Jeff); his great-nieces, Leah and Megan; his nephew Chip Scholten (Wendi); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Harlee and Jaxton; his niece Mindi Kiliszewski (Eric); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Marisa and Mikayla; his nieces, Dani Duncan (Jeff) and Amanda Jansen (Ben); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ben, Cammy, Ellory and Edison; his nephew Jake Oakes (Chrissy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emmalyn and Caroline; Todd Scholten (Tammy), Zachary (Grace), Holly (Gabe) and Noelle.
