He is survived by: his children, Frank Messana and Janet Viselli (Mario); his grandchildren, Matthew (Alli), Mark, Michael Messana, Jackie Viselli and Michael Viselli; his siblings, Mary Harris and Phil Messana (Mary); and his sons, Van Dyke, Mile Rd and Prayers Thurs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
