He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredric L. Gushwa and Olive Dorthea Gushwa (Baker); his grandson Gabriel; Mary Kay Dillivan. He is survived by: his wife Gail Hart; his children, Heidi Sorkoram of Kalamazoo and Fred Gushwa of Sturgis; his grandchildren, Mary "Nikki" Sorrow (Drew) of Florida and Paul "Tony" Sorkoram of Kalamazoo; his stepchildren, Kolby Klopfenstein of Sturgis and Kasey Klopfenstein of LaGrange, Indiana; his stepgranddaughter Mariah Snyder of Arizona; and his brother James Gushwa (Kristine) of Sturgis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
