She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Cerny and Vera Cerny (Inman); her husband Gerald Edwin Eggert; her siblings, Virginia Profitt, Phyllis Jarden (Robert), Donald Cerny (Dorothy), Carol Cerny and James Cerny; her son-in-law Greg Detweiler; her grandson Henry Forrest Eggert; and her great grandchild Camden Erlandson.

She is survived by : her children, James Eggert, Timothy Eggert (Kathleen), Pam Detweiler and John Eggert (Sarah); her grandchildren, Krystal Abbott (Scott), Tracey Eggert, Stacia Erlandson (Thomas), Shane Detweiler (Morgan), Q. Eggert and Christine Eggert; her great grandchildren, Kayden, Kenzie Erlandson, Logan and Molly Detweiler; and her brother-in-law Robert Profitt.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Martinson Funeral Home (115 N St Joseph St, Suttons Bay, MI 49682). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (220 W Nagonaba St, Northport, MI 49670).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jean's honor may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, PO Box 567, Northport, MI 49670 or a charity of your choice.
