Gretchen Marie Lawton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gretchen Marie Lawton of Swartz Creek, Michigan, who passed away on November 9, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Young and Ruth E. Young (McClure); and her siblings, Mark, Paul Young and Linda Calioa.
She is survived by: her husband James Lawton of Patrick's Catholic Church; her sons, Kevin Lawton (Erica) and Mathew Lawton; her grandson Julian; her siblings, Diane Gavin (Dan), Sheri Harris, Marcia Merithew (Doug), Craig Young, Mary Posuniak (Joel), Karen Turner (Bruce), Joe Young (Susan) and Cindy Young; and her sisters-in-law, Lin Lawton, Luann Lejune (Dave) and Janet Vespie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church (4413 Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473).
