He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Courtad (Courtade) and Aloysius H. Courtad Sr. (Ollie); his wife Murna Mary Brown; his siblings, Rita Courtad, Kenneth Courtad (Amy), Richard Courtad (Maxine), Eugene Courtad (Inez), Marie Keaton, Eileen Newman (Richard), Donald Courtad (Judith), Bernard Courtad and Geraldine Smith (William); and his brothers-in-law, James Franke, Luke Romis and Dan Kress.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne Thompson (Jim) of Traverse City, Gregory Courtad of Pauma Valley, CA, Lorraine Courtad of Traverse City and Margaret Weinzapfel (Ben) of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Tricia Martin (Kelly), Jacob Courtad and Vanessa Weinzapfel; his great grandchildren, Carley Allen Potes, Ashley, Skylar and Zoe Martin; and his sisters, Patricia Franke, Joan Romis and Delores Kress.
