We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2021, at the age of 84, Alva Samuel Taylor of Troy, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Frances (Burkle); his siblings, John Trumbull, Robert Michael and Dr. Maryann Devine; his daughters, Trudy Naimy Timothy (Robert, Sr) and Kimberly Hall (James); and his grandchildren, Robert Naimy Jr. (Melissa), Timothy Taylor, Jr., Megan Beardsley (Brandon), Kristopher Lixey, Michael Taylor and Bradly Taylor.

He also spent many months working in the Antarctic working for the National Science Foundation at McMurdo United States Base.
