It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Marie Updyke of Troy, Michigan, born in Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on October 5, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Minton and Rosa Minton; her husband Robert Updyke; and her sister Elizabeth. She is survived by: her children, Rosa Byrd of Oswego, Bob Updyke (Laura) of Sterling Heights and Jeff Updyke (Tracy) of Macomb, Michigan.; her grandchildren, Mark, Chastity, Donnie, Trista, Allen, Mary, Susan, Amber, Brandon, Jeffrey (Trisha) and Justin (Tiffani); and her siblings, Elmer, Slyvia, Joan, Johnny, Helen and Edna. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
