He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Troutt Akin and Adda Metzger Akin of Troy, Michigan.. He is survived by: his wife Diana; his daughters, Erin J. Robertson (Scott) of Arlington, Shannon D. Iredale (Sellentin) and Amanda M. Chigbrow (Cory); his sister Addamae Akin of Snohomish, Washington.; and his grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Iredale, Jack Andrew Iredale, Jeffrey-Turner Sellentin (JT), Kenna Jane Robertson, Frances Henry Chigbrow and Evelyn Deen Chigbrow. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
