Born on October 8, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Beverly Goloback, Maureen, along with her twin sister Michele, was the youngest of five children. She grew up in Royal Oak, and she attended St. Dennis Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Foley High School in 1975. She went on to earn a bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University in 1979.

Maureen's heart, however, was always with her family. She had a rare talent for bringing people together and loved hosting lively, joy-filled gatherings for any occasion. Her cooking was exquisite—her dishes lovingly prepared and always a hit with the crowd. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, nourished, and at home.
In recent years, Maureen found immense joy in spending time with her four cherished grandchildren. She poured her love into every moment with them, creating memories they will treasure forever.
Maureen will always be remembered for her bright and witty personality. She had a deep appreciation for the arts and creativity, and was an avid gardener.
She will be deeply missed.
