He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Carter and Piccola Carter; his wife Denise Elizabeth Smith; his children, Barb, Robert, Betty, Elizabeth, John, Tim, Michael and Jacob; his grandchildren, Nicolo, Alex and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Nicolo, Mariana, Talia and Barbara; and his siblings, Shirley and Leatha. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life service will be organized in summer 2021.
