He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cungetta; his children, Debra, Robert and David; and his grandchildren, Viva Black, William Black (Becki), Amy Hughes (Gene) and Sandra Banks (Matthew).

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Joseph Mercy Hospice .
