He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Maxine Townsend; his parents, Florence Townsend and Grover Townsend of Twin Lake; his siblings, Grover Townsend of Nevada and Doris Shurkamp of Twin Lake; his children-in-law, Gill Deschaaf of Benton Harbor and Laura Townsend of Grand Blanc; his children, Ruth Deschaaf of Benton Harbor, Linda (Douglas Stebelton), Donald Townsend Jr of Twin and Frank (Anna Townsend); and his brother Jerry. He was also cherished by many many friends, neighbors, and relatives.
